92 Point From Vinous: “The 2022 Chardonnay Cota 500 hails from the Maule Andes and was fermented cloudy. A pale yellow in hue, the nose presents notes of pear and linden-blossom with hints of citrus. In the mouth it’s mildly fatty with malic grip and moderate, slightly concentrated tension before the lime-infused finish.”
“The 2022 Cota 500 Chardonnay was produced with fruit from 20-year-old vines from colluvial soils in Maule. The full clusters were pressed and the juice fermented with indigenous yeasts and without the addition of any sulfur. It matured in concrete for five months. It's moderately ripe at 13.9% alcohol with a pH of 3.25 and very good acidity (six grams). It didn't go through malolactic fermentation. It's very clean and precise, varietal, expressive but in a subtle and elegant way. It's very tasty and balanced, with energy and seriousness. 12,000 bottles produced.”
